Sunny all Week; A Gradual Warmup
Good afternoon folks! I fell off the face of the earth this past weekend and had planned on doing a discussion on Friday, but became swamped with moving our family across town. I am back to my normal schedule and the next discussion will come out on Wednesday, however not much will change between now and then as high pressure takes hold of the region tomorrow and maintains sunny skies Tuesday through Saturday. The models are trying to figure out if we can pick up some precip Saturday night into Sunday but confidence levels are low at this point in time, so we are only going with an uptick in cloud cover. The only other notable mention is that temps will gradually warm back to normal levels by Wednesday, pushing a few degrees above normal by the weekend, which is welcomed after a blustery day today (Monday).
With winds dying down late tonight (for the valleys) as the high pressure system slides to the east, we'll have a decent setup for widespread frost Tuesday morning as temps bottom out to the upper 20's - low 30's across the region. I should note that NW winds will continue at 15 - 25mph tonight into the late afternoon hours on Tuesday. Sunshine will bring temps to the low - mid 60's across the valleys Tuesday afternoon, while the ridgelines hold to the low 50's; a blustery day above 5500'. Overnight into Wednesday clear skies will bring temps down to the low - upper 30's with patchy frost forming by the pre dawn hours.
Wednesday through Saturday features much of the same weather; sunny during the day, clear at night with the exception for a handful of passing clouds Thursday night. Temps will gradually increase from the mid - upper 60's across the lower elevations on Wednesday to the low 70's by Saturday and a normal high for early November is in the mid - upper 60's for the valleys. Overnight lows will increase from the mid - upper 30's Wednesday night and settle out to the low - upper 40's by this weekend, with Wednesday morning likely the last frosty morning for the next seven days.
We'll stop here and circle back Wednesday afternoon, hopefully with more insight into a possible short lived precip event this weekend. Enjoy the warmer temps!
