Near Perfect Weather this Week

Good morning folks! It's a still a bit muggy outside but we are leagues better than last week at this time and conditions will improve as the front pushes past the region today, ushering in dry and slightly cooler NW flow across the region later tonight. A frontal passage today (Monday) will bring a handful of showers and thunderstorms to the region but we still expect more sun than clouds and temps in the upper 80's across the valleys. Sunny skies take over on Tuesday and fair weather will linger through at least Friday as high pressure sits atop the region. Temps will be a few degrees below normal Tuesday and Wednesday, only warming to the upper 70's - low 80's across the lower elevations, but we'll see a return to the mid - upper 80's by Friday. Even with warmer temps across the region, the overnight lows all week long will certainly make up for any discomfort during the day as temps bottom out to the upper 40's - mid 50's depending upon elevation. All in all, it will be a dry and sunny work week with temps slowly warming as the week moves along, possibly followed by a regionwide rain event Saturday (models show a cold front moving through this weekend).

We'll kick off the timeline on Tuesday morning with temps in the low - upper 50's across the region, warming to the mid 60's - low 80's depending upon elevation. If you have been waiting for a low humidity setup to capture longer range views or perhaps a more crisp horizon, then the Tue - Thur stretch of days is your window to make it happen. Low humidity levels will be a welcomed sight and they should bottom out enough to justify keeping your home or work windows open most of the day; free weather. Overnight lows Tuesday night dip into the upper 40's - mid 50's depending upon elevation.

Wednesday through Thursday feature much of the same as sunny skies sit overhead and temps warm from the low - mid 80's Wednesday to the upper 80's on Friday. Of course the best place to escape the heat is anywhere above 5000', where temps will struggle to break into the 70's through at least Thursday, pushing to the low - mid 70's by Friday. Overnight lows continue to bottom out to the upper 40's - mid 50's through Wednesday night but inch upward Thursday and Friday nights to the low 50's - low 60's depending upon elevation.

We'll stop here and only mention that a front is scheduled to cross the region Saturday, however we are not sure if this will be a line of passing shower or something more widespread. We'll circle back on Wednesday with more details and extend the timeline out to Sunday. ENJOY!
