Rinse and Repeat

Good afternoon folks! We're dealing with (or enjoying depending upon your preference) scattered light to moderate showers today, after initially picking up some snow during the early - mid morning hours above 5000'. Precip will continue throughout the night and wind down by the early morning hours Saturday, however drizzle is possible at any point throughout the day, with widespread showers returning closer to sunset. Heavy rain swings through the region Sunday morning, with clearing skies past midday that may move fast enough to allow sunshine to return before sunset. Monday and Tuesday look mostly sunny, while Wednesday features increasing clouds ahead of the next rainmaker which is slated to arrive sometime Thursday. It seems we will continue the pattern of a few dry days and then a few wet days next week, with the March temperature outlook a handful of degrees below average (it could be worse).

Showers tonight allow temps to settle into the low - mid 40's with a half inch of rain likely by sunrise on Saturday. Temps rebound to the low 50's - low 60's, however with drizzle possible throughout the day it will not feel that warm so consider a long sleeve shirt to keep the cooling effect of the light drizzle at bay. Temps only drop to the upper 40's - low 50's Saturday night and heavy rain is slated to return sometime after midnight, peaking in both coverage and intensities shortly after sunrise. An inch of rain is possible Saturday into Sunday, however southwesterly flow will make for a spring like day Sunday as temps soar to the mid 50's along the ridgelines and upper 60's in the valley (imagine a breezy, moist, warm day). Sunshine is possible before sunset and as clouds clear out Sunday night, temps settle into the upper 30's - low 40's.

Monday and Tuesday offer up the best weather for next week as mostly sunny skies sit overhead, with slightly more cloud cover on Monday than Tuesday, but regardless it will be pleasant as temps rise to the low 50's - low 60's depending upon elevation. Overnight lows dip into the mid 30's - low 40's each night.

Wednesday features increasing clouds ahead of the next rainmaker and by Thursday widespread showers return, that will likely extend into Friday. We'll hold off on the details till Sunday when our next discussion comes out (sometime around 1 - 3pm).
