Several Rounds of Rain; Slightly Warmer

Good Morning Folks! We wrap up the weekend today under a sunny start, however clouds fill in as the day moves along and showers develop shortly after sunset, winding down for the most part tomorrow morning. Enough moisture will be present in the overall flow tomorrow to keep isolated showers and drizzle around for most of the day, with a second round of rain moving through late Monday night and for most of the day Tuesday, clearing out Tuesday evening. Wednesday is our weather pick of the week due to sunny skies and warmer temps setting up shop across the mountains, but as our discussion title suggest, we expect yet another round of rain to move in late Thursday, possibly clearing out just in time for the upcoming weekend. Temps all the while will be slightly above normal but nothing too warm, just not the crisp fall temps we are used to for early November. Once the late week system clears out the models do show a cool down for next weekend, possibly 10 - 15 degrees below normal.

Sunshine today gives way to high clouds streaming overhead by the early afternoon, with cloudy skies overhead by sunset (remember the sun sets at 5:30pm now a days due to the time change). Spotty showers develop shortly after sunset and coverage becomes widespread overnight into Monday, winding back down to isolated showers by mid morning Monday. Temps tonight will dip into the upper 40's - low 50's across the lower elevations.

Monday and Tuesday feature isolated showers and drizzle most of the day Monday, followed by widespread showers overnight into Tuesday, slowly scaling back coverage as the day moves along. Temps reach the mid - upper 60's Monday and come close to the 70°F on Tuesday for the valleys, while the ridgelines only reach the mid 50's - low 60's. From Sunday night through Tuesday evening rainfall totals will surpass an inch for the area.

Wednesday offers up sunshine and Thursday features showers returning to the area later in the day, with temps holding to the low - upper 60's Wednesday through Friday, although cooling down by a degree or two with each passing day. We'll provide another update Tuesday morning to focus on the Thursday/Friday rain event and also the cooler temps returning to the region next weekend.
