Good morning folks! We'll warmup nicely today as temps push into the upper 60's - low 70's across the lower elevations under sunny skies. Fair weather rolls into Tuesday and temps climb a few degrees higher than today, with high clouds pushing into the area as we approach sunset. Sunshine Returns Sunday; Freeze next Thursday?!?
Good morning folks! It's a cloudy and cool day across the region with a few light showers traversing the region, expected to wind down by the evening hours. By the way, its snowing on Mt LeConte! This shouldn't last long but still something worth noting. Frost Fri Morning; Light Rain Saturday
Good afternoon folks! It's a blustery day across the region and a touch cooler as well with highs in the low - mid 60's across SW NC. High pressure will nose into the area overnight and allow temps to drop into the low - upper 30's across the region, setting the table for frost to form by sunrise on Friday. Showers Wednesday; Frost Thursday Night
Good morning folks! We had a few spots dip into the upper 30's this morning but most of the area started out in the 40's. Shower chances hold strong for Wednesday and this will be a light event for the region with totals ranging from 0.25 - 0.75" as we deal with thunderstorms, creating a hit and miss situation for totals. Most of the action will occur later in the day and during the evening hours, with showers drying up before midnight and clouds clearing by sunrise on Thursd

Sunshine through Tues; Showers Wed?
Good morning folks! Yesterday's rain was roughly in line with forecasted totals as the majority of SW NC picked up anywhere from 0.30 - 0.60", however the Southern Highlands Plateau and escarpment cashed in with totals exceeding 2" in many spots. The highest total was out of Lake Toxaway at 2.87". The fog that followed was so dense in valleys that it forced the WCU vs VMI baseball game to end early, but we got the win so we'll take it!
