High pressure will nose into the area overnight and allow temps to drop into the low - upper 30's across the region, setting the table for frost to form by sunrise on Friday. Good morning folks! We had a few spots dip into the upper 30's this morning but most of the area started out in the 40's. Shower chances hold strong for Wednesday and this will be a light event for the region with totals ranging from 0.25 - 0.75" as we deal with thunderstorms, creating a hit and miss situation for totals. Good morning folks! Yesterday's rain was roughly in line with forecasted totals as the majority of SW NC picked up anywhere from 0.30 - 0.60", however the Southern Highlands Plateau and escarpment cashed in with totals exceeding 2" in many spots. The highest total was out of Lake Toxaway at 2.87". The fog that followed was so dense in valleys that it forced the WCU vs VMI baseball game to end early, but we got the win so we'll take it!
