Windy Friday; Picture Perfect Saturday
Good morning folks! Forecasted rain totals have been cut significantly for the upcoming event starting later today, ending early Friday morning. We are now expecting roughly 0.30 - 0.70" of rain to fall across the region, which is roughly a reduction of a half inch across the board from our previous discussion on Tuesday. Soaking Rain Friday AM; Sunny this Wknd
Good morning folks! Warmer temps reign supreme through at least Thursday and then things cool down on Friday as a front crosses the region early in the day. A slightly cooler but still comfortable weekend lies ahead, with sunshine taking over as the front exits the region on Friday. Temps warm up slightly as we move into Sunday and early next week, with a return to the upper 70's by Monday, maybe Sunday if we're lucky. The rain event slated for Thursday has been pushed back s

Sunny through Tuesday; Low - Mid 80's
Good morning folks! The sun has returned for most of the region, however Haywood County in particular is being stubborn with mostly cloudy skies still overhead as of 11am; this will soon give way to full sunshine. Sunny skies return today and linger through a portion of Wednesday, with our next chance for rain returning Thursday into Friday. Speaking of rain, we picked up 0.55 - 1.61" yesterday across the region, with Hogback in southern Jackson taking home the top spot at 1.

Soggy Saturday; Low 80's Next Week!
Good afternoon folks! Fell behind today in getting the discussion out, but not much has changed since our last post on Wednesday. We still expect rain across all of SW NC tomorrow and the timeline has shifted slightly, with totals now in the 0.75 - 1.75" range as opposed to 2.5" previously mentioned, but we'll take whatever we can get at this point (celebrate pollen sufferers). Temps will be slightly cooler tomorrow in Haywood County compared to the more southwestern counties

Good afternoon folks! Change is afoot as the cold front swings through the region this morning, with wind speeds ramping up to 10 - 20mph and temps gradually dropping throughout the day. A few snow showers will develop along the TN line and a light dusting is possible by sunrise on Thursday for the highest elevations in the Smokies.
