Cooler Temps arrive Friday
Good afternoon folks! The past few days have not been bone dry but they haven't been a soaker either, with storm coverage hit and miss across the region, resulting in some spots exceeding 2", while others were lucky to pick up a tenth of an inch. Looking ahead scattered showers are likely again Monday and Tuesday as a backdoor front migrates south, coupled with a slight uptick in NE flow across the region. We'll dry out again Wednesday under sunny skies and Thursday features

Hope is Around the Corner

Good afternoon folks! We'll continue to deal with a dry setup Friday into the middle to latter part of next week and for those wishing for cooler temps, it looks like we'll continue to wait. The Climate Prediction Center released their 8 - 14 day outlook and our region sits firmly in the above average zone. Keep in mind "above average" does not translate to summer like temps but instead 4 - 6 degrees above what we expect for this time of the year. For Cullowhee, the average t

Normal Temps Wednesday - Friday
Good afternoon folks! Sunshine is dominating the landscaping as we start the work and school week, with no clouds overhead as of this afternoon (Monday). We'll notice an uptick in clouds throughout the day Tuesday, culminating in scattered showers late Tuesday night that should carry over into Wednesday afternoon. This is due to a weak backdoor front trying to move southward late tomorrow, followed by a cold front sliding across the region Wednesday, all of which won't amount
