A Typical Summertime Setup
Good afternoon folks! We are closing out the weekend on a pleasant note and looking at the week ahead, we expect a typical summertime setup with muggy humidity levels and a mix of sun and afternoon thunderstorms through at least Thursday. A front may bring us some dry weather closer to next weekend, but nothing to write home about, perhaps just enough to give us break from the constant afternoon/evening shower development. A Gradual Return to Normal
Good afternoon folks! Temps this morning were a few degree below forecasted levels, with the coldest spot found atop Mt Mitchell at 33.3°F, while the rest of the 6100 - 6400' ridgelines sat in the mid - upper 30's. Another 1 - 2" is possible for the majority of SW NC, while another 2 - 3" is likely for the N GA and S

Weekend Washout; More Rain Next Week
Good morning folks! Most of the region has picked up a half inch of rain since Wednesday, however numerous sites surpassed the one inch mark and a handful reached 1.5". We'll pick up another 0.5 - 2" across the region today (Friday), while this weekend brings us 3 - 5" of rain depending upon location. Monday and Tuesday keep the rain train going with another 0.5 - 2" over the 48 hour period and although we forecast these amounts, all it takes is one thunderstorm to stall over
