Soggy and Warm through Saturday
Good afternoon folks! I apologize for the delay in getting a discussion out, but things are back in order on the home front and moving forward the every other day posting pattern will continue; next post comes out Saturday. Isolated light showers and drizzle continue to dot the landscape today and will wind down early Friday morning, with a second round moving in Friday afternoon but this should also be light and nothing to worry about; keep those plans but grab a rain jacket

Rain Chances Increase Wednesday
Good afternoon folks! We are enjoying this nice break from the rain, after picking up over 5 - 8 inches of rain since last Monday. In particular, Cullowhee Creek was the only one to hit the 8" mark at 8.03", while Hogback Mountain and Lake Toxaway broke the 7" mark at 7.72" and 7.33" respectively; the majority of SW NC surpassed the 5 - 6" thresholds. Dry Weather Returns!!!
Good afternoon folks! Although most of the rain missed us this morning with the bulk of it falling across the entire state of TN, we'll pick up more rain tonight as the front crosses the region. We don't expect a washout but we do expect heavy showers at times and most of the rain will be off to our east shortly after sunrise on Sunday. Sunshine at the End of the Tunnel
Good Morning Folks! For the most part SW NC picked up 1 - 1.5" of rain over the past 24 hours, ending Thursday morning at 9:30am, with two spots along the escarpment exceeding the 2" mark; Lake Toxaway at 2.21" and Rosman at 2.19". We'll pick up another 1 - 2" of rain today through Friday, with another round moving through Saturday night into Sunday morning and this second round will actually end the long stretch of gloomy and wet weather, setting up a gorgeous Monday to star

On and Off Rain through Sunday
Good Morning Folks! Showers are trying to push into the Southern Highlands Plateau as we type this discussion on Tuesday morning, however most of the region will remain dry till the early afternoon hours. Shower intensity ramps up tonight, winds down somewhat Wednesday and picks back up Wednesday night, with another lull on Thursday, only to ramp up once again Thursday night into Friday.
