Muggy, Warm, & Strong Thunderstorms
Good Morning Folks! We are continuing to enjoy the summer like pattern across the region, although the severity of storms as of late have been extreme in some instances. The weekend and next week outlook has heavy rainfall, hail, and strong winds as the main threats, with no specific outbreak expected like what occurred on Monday and Wednesday of last week. This go around we will simply see thunderstorms pop up in the traditional fashion, meaning most all of SW NC is in play,

Temps Climb; Typical Pop Up T Storms
Good Morning Folks! We'll deal with another round of thunderstorms this afternoon, with typical pop up showers and thunderstorms Thursday, however shower coverage is likely to extend into Thursday night. Friday through the weekend will be the hottest set of days for our region and although the heat and humidity slowly creep up, thunderstorm coverage only rises from isolated on Thursday to scattered by Saturday and Sunday. Gradual Uptick in Shower Chances
Good Morning Folks! We have enjoyed a wonderful start to the work week with low dewpoints and near normal temps and although this trend will carry over into today (6/5), we expect humidity levels and temps to gradually rise Wednesday into the weekend. By Wednesday enough moisture will be present to fire up an isolated shower or two, same for Thursday, however by Friday there may be enough instability to develop a handful of thunderstorms. Sunshine and Cooler Temps
Good Morning Folks! It has been a wild two weeks, with numerous sites across SW NC picking up anywhere from 12 - 25" of rain, the highest amounts found along the SC state line (escarpment). There is one report of 30.54" for the month of May, out of Bohaynee, just above Whitewater Falls and although this area picks up 90" or more each year, a third of your annual rainfall in one month is still amazing.
